Finders keepers – busted Heating and Air Conditioning at work is my concern now

There’s one thing that I entirely hate about my current task. There’s little accountability for anybody, and the lines of responsibility are easily poorly drawn. It seems like certain people can put their foot down and decide what their task titles entail, and other people are simply thrown random tasks when they come floating down the pipeline. If you’re in the wrong location at the wrong time, something becomes your fault or your responsibility. It doesn’t matter if it makes any sense relative to your actual title or biweekly responsibilities. This is exactly what happened to me last weekend when I stopped by my work for a few minutes to grab a folder that I forgot. When I walked into the office, it was clearly boiling and humid. I was confused why I would feel so bad in there, because the air conditioning component should be running 24/7. I went to the temperature control and took a look at the cooling system temperature control settings, and realized that the temperature control was operating fine. Therefore, it seems like the a/c was faltering. I am not an air conditioning expert, nor do I know anything about technology or mechanical repairs. I am certainly not the right person to call out a professional Heating and Air Conditioning tech and try to talk about the existing air quality control system, because I don’t know anything about it. I have no clue when this air handling device was installed, if it has ever been professionally tested, or if my friend and I even bothered to change the air filters, but on top of that, I am not the one who broke the a/c in the first location. Still, somehow it became my task to find a reputable Heating and Air Conditioning company and arrange the emergency repair services. I spent my weekend in the office, dealing with someone else’s task.
