I don’t assume they were certified

Sometimes it honestly pays to take your time and do research, even when the situation seems extremely stressful and timed critical.

  • I have learned this the hard way time after time, and yet I continue to relearn it again and again.

I’ve been trying to teach myself to slow down because in the end it will save me time and effort. The same lesson needs to be applied to my home appliances and central heating, cooling, and ventilation system! Every time it seems like there’s an issue with my indoor air quality control devices, I get extremely concerned about it and immediately call out an Heating and A/C specialist. This might not be a terrible problem, because I do assume it’s safer to tackle sizable air handling device concerns as quickly as possible – except for the fact that I tend to panic and call the worst Heating and A/C companies in the area. Last time my boiler was not producing tepid air, I got concerned about the chance of me outdoor air cooling harshly. I opened my search engine and typed in “heater repair.” I called the first Heating and A/C company that came up, and tied up my boiler service. After hours of this specialist banging around in my basement, they came upstairs and reported that the boiler should be fine. Before they even pulled out of the driveway, I knew that the boiler was not fixed. They left pieces of the heating component all over the floor and everything looked bent out of shape. When I called the Heating and A/C repair shop, they refused to take responsibility for their own service worker. I actually called out a lemon, thanks to my anxiety. In hindsight, I don’t assume they were even a certified Heating and A/C tech.
