I love a man with useful skills, torn between two tradesmen

The problem is, at the same time I started falling for a skilled car mechanic

If there’s one thing that I’ve known from an early age, it’s that I appreciate a man who knows how to do “manly things.” When I was very young, I was attracted to boys with a lot of emotions but not many practical skills. After my first couple of boyfriends, I realized that I wasn’t a big fan of wearing the britches in the relationship. I didn’t enjoy feeling like I was responsible for knowing how cars work and when they require repair service. I hated being out on a walk at night and realizing that I was the only one carrying any kind of protection. And I particularly wasn’t a fan of needing to call out a professional to perform routine maintenance around the house because my boy had no idea what he was doing. From that point on, I started focusing on finding individuals with real skills. Now, I find myself in a bind, torn between an HVAC technician and a car mechanic. I don’t know who to choose and I don’t want to break anyone’s heart. I never expected to get myself into this situation when I signed up for an online dating service aimed at local tradesmen. Right away, I started setting my preferences for men who knew about home repair, including HVAC services, as well as handy mechanics. Soon, I was dating a really great guy who enjoyed coming into my house and fiddling with my heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment before every date. He was constantly bringing over new air filters or messing with the settings on my thermostat temperature program to optimize my energy expenditure. I never even had to ask him to vacuum the air ducts. The problem is, at the same time I started falling for a skilled car mechanic. He’s really done wonders for my old Corolla. I know I need to choose one or the other, but right now I’ve really been enjoying all of the free service.
