Someone stole my AC unit last fall

Man, it really seems like 2020 has been a blur so far.

I can’t believe that we’re already at the end of March and we’ve knocked three months out of this calendar year so far.

It seems like we just celebrated the new year last week. I’ve been so distracted with world events and chaos at my daily work that it’s been difficult to keep my head in the game. The rest of my life has been neglected a bit, thanks to all of the drama that I’ve had to keep up with in the office. This has never been more obvious to me than it was this morning, when I realized that I have been the victim of a massive theft and didn’t even realize it. All winter, I happily used my central heating system at home to curb some of the chilly outdoor air. It doesn’t get brutally cold in our region, but it does get quite brisk at night. You have to use a regular central heating furnace for at least a few weeks out of the year. In the springtime, I was able to get by without any HVAC control devices for a few weeks. It was rather mild and comfortable outdoors without ridiculous humidity. Then, the Heat and mugginess settled in. I went to turn on my air conditioning unit the other morning, and realized that nothing was happening. I didn’t hear the AC system kicking into gear and there was definitely no cool air coming out. I poked my head out the window to see if the outdoor unit was working or not, and realized that it was gone. I have no idea who would have taken my outdoor AC equipment, but obviously they could have done it at any point in the last several months. I don’t know how long I’ve been missing my AC unit.
