Using my time to switch providers and save

Have you ever been holed up in a house, looking for things to do day after day? I have a feeling that the answer is yes, considering the shelter in place orders that most of us are under.

Right now, there isn’t a lot to do as far as normal living. We aren’t allowed to leave the house to go to our jobs, to eat out at restaurants, or to shop at local stores. In fact, the only thing we can do is to hunker down and stay indoors as much as possible. At first, don’t get me wrong it’s a lot of fun to sit around all day working on craft projects and catching up on Netflix series. Obviously, after a few weeks of this, you start looking for novel ways of entertainment and productivity to stay sane. That’s why, I’ve been trying to productively use my time away from work for improving my adult responsibilities. One of the huge projects I’ve signed up for is reducing our monthly bills. This includes our energy bill, our insurance bills, and our regular heating and cooling costs. For our family, heating, cooling, and ventilation is no joke. Several people in the family have asthma so we require regular air filter changes and advanced media air purification systems. Several other people in the family are immunocompromised and need zone controlled heating and cooling to keep their environment perfect all the time. With my time away from my normal job, I’ve made investigating local HVAC dealerships my new job. By comparing online reviews, available service offers, and Better Business Bureau information, I’ve been carefully parsing out the best HVAC company for hire. At least we’ll have amazing indoor air whenever we’re allowed to go back outside.
